When will additional details for the virtual race be announced?
Details regarding race events will be announced in September. Masters (including lightweight 1x!), collegiate, youth, para, alumni, parent/child and mixed events will be represented. Coxswain and Paddle/Erg events have also been added!
Will there be individual and team events?
Yes! Individual and team events will be available in both participatory and live races.
When will registration open?
September 26th! The first 150 entries will receive a 50th anniversary HOSR poster!
When will registration close?
Registration for participatory events will remain open for the duration of the racing period, closing 12:00PM ET on October 23rd. Registration for live events will close on October 14th.
What are the registration costs?
Entries fees will vary by race type and event. All proceeds will benefit Philadelphia City Rowing and HOSR’s Love Where You Row initiatives.
How long will the course be?
The virtual race will be somewhere between 4100-4300 meters, the approximate distance of the Head of the Schuylkill course (actual race distance will be revealed October 18th).
How many events will I be able to race in?
There are no restrictions on the number of events in which you can participate.
Will medals and team points still be awarded?
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded (a minimum of three entries is required for each event or subcategory). Team points will be recognized.
What happens if a live event is undersubscribed?
If a live event has less than three registrants, race officials may combine race events.
