Thanks to community’s participation in the 2020 HOSR virtual racing and programming, the HOSR was able to provide over $8,100 to Philadelphia City Rowing to support programming expenses.While the HOSR has partnered with PCR for many years, 2020 celebrated our respective anniversaries and 10 years of empowering students from the Philadelphia School District to reach their highest potential both on and off the water. Your support helps PCR keep its mission strong and continue providing safe and enriching programs for years to come.
PCR has worked hard to not only give students free access to competitive rowing, but also the academic services and support they need to level the playing field in the classroom. PCR’s programs increase student-athletes’ social and emotional learning, improve academic outcomes, and instill a love of rowing, a place-based connection to our community, and lifelong healthy habits.
PCR and the HOSR are committed to fighting for equal opportunities for student-athletes.
