2023 Corporate Challenge
The Corporate Challenge offers teams the opportunity to gather outside of work and enjoy the benefits of fitness, comradery and friendly competition.Saturday, October 28, 2023 (approximately 4:30 pm)
The Corporate Challenge at the 53rd Head of the Schuylkill Regatta (HOSR) offers a unique and memorable opportunity for your employees to compete in and be part of the excitement of Philadelphia’s largest and most inclusive regatta. The Corporate Challenge offers unparalleled team building and networking for your employees as well as a great branding opportunity for your firm as thousands of spectators and competitors watch the action along Kelly Drive.
The Head of the Schuylkill is a 2.5-mile head race. The Corporate Challenge will row a half course, approximately 1.25 miles. Each company shall enter a team of nine employees comprised of eight rowers and one coxswain. Crews are responsible for arranging all equipment (ie. shells and oars) and launching their shells from designated docks (but we are happy to help make those connections!). Crews must adhere to HOSR Rules.
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the first, second and third-place champions. In addition, all competitors will receive HOSR swag and are invited to the post-race celebration Saturday evening.
Your firm will also be prominently listed on the HOSR website and social media feeds, seen by tens of thousands of high school, collegiate, masters, and elite athletes, their families, and the organizations that partner with the HOSR.
Entry fees are $1000 per boat and all proceeds benefit HOSR’s community partners. A portion of your entry fee is tax deductible.
Please reach out to Jennifer Wesson at info@hosr.org for more information, to assist with securing equipment, and/or to help arrange coaching sessions in advance of the regatta. Registration due by October 7, 2023.
We look forward to having you join us at Philadelphia’s Fall Festival of Rowing! If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Wesson at info@hosr.org.
